Out hiking on a trail, the wind blew a pile of leaves, and out from under those leaves appeared
Yep, that’s an old Schlitz can with a pull tab, at least 40 years old, possibly older. There was just a few spots of rust on it. It was empty. That means either someone drank that can of beer decades ago, dropped it on the trail, and it’s been sitting there barely bothered for a good part of the last century and all of this century, or someone actually cracked that thing recently and tossed the empty on the trail.
Given the rust on the can, I’m guessing the former, which really says something about how long our trash lasts.
