Alice Sheldon. Probably my favorite short story writer, along with Cordwainer Smith. Science fiction. The Julie Phillips biography of Tiptree was great. A window into the SF world at the time. Highly recommended.

“The Girl Who Was Plugged In” and “The Last Flight of Dr. Ain” are favorites. The first won a Hugo. “Houston, Houston, Do You Read?” won both a Hugo and a Nebula. “Love is the Plan the Plan is Death” also won a Nebula.

A few of her stories used to be available online on the old Sci-Fi TV site before they got rid of their fiction section. I have found Dr. Ain before.
